Chapter Summary
Kenny is sitting in the backyard when he hears a loud, strange noise. Momma screams. Kenny runs inside and finds out that there has been a bombing at the church where Joey is at Sunday school. Kenny and Byron run to the church. People are running around and screaming, but Kenny goes into the church to look for Joey. Kenny finds a shoe and sees the Wool Pooh. Kenny goes back to Grandma's house because he thinks the Wool Pooh will get him again. In his room, Kenny sees "a ghost" of Joey, but later realizes that Joey is really alive. Kenny is relieved that the Wool Pooh did not get Joey.
